We promised ourselves that we wouldn't be swayed by the view...
Shan and Hayden met in February 2022 through a dating app, playfully called “the online library” by their celebrant. Their first coffee date was so engaging it spanned two cafés as neither wanted the conversation to end. Initially, Shan only wanted to be friends, but after a few casual meetups, their connection deepened and blossomed into love.
When they visited Kauri Bay together they were captivated by the sweeping views and serene atmosphere. It quickly became the perfect setting for the relaxed, fun, and heart felt celebration they had imagined.
Their favourite moment came immediately after the ceremony, celebrating with everyone in pure joy. Cultural touches made the day deeply personal including a Sri Lankan oil lamp, and the British “something old, new, borrowed, blue” tradition. Their vegetarian menu allowed them to share their love of food with guests, making the celebration both meaningful and personal.
Every element, from the scenic backdrop to thoughtful details, created a wedding that reflected Shan and Hayden’s personalities perfectly. Their day was a beautiful combination of culture, connection, and joy, leaving them with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
